Not even the Duchess of Cambridge is immune from the everyday fashion fumble of getting your high heel stuck in a sidewalk grate. During a royal visit to the Action on Addiction treatment center in Essex on Wednesday, Kate Middleton approached her hosts and well-wishers outside the venue, but she had a minor shoe issue when her pump met a metal drain in the pavement.

But like true royalty, Middleton maintained her poise and didn't lose her balance.

She just stepped to the side and carried on her conversation as if nothing happened. (We, on the other hand, might have already wiped out and fallen at this point.)

The Duchess was so close go going full Rihanna.
Once she finally made it indoors, Middleton helped ring in the official opening of Action on Addiction's new community-based treatment center and chatted with clients at different stages in recovery. The Duchess launched "Clouds in the Community," a non-residential program that lets individuals recover in their own neighborhoods, allowing the charity to help more people in more places.
Middleton first got involved with Action on Addiction about six years ago, she revealed during a speech at the ceremony. "You're very special to me, so it's great to be here," she said. "I believe so passionately in community projects, so I wish it all the best for success in the future."
The Duchess, who is expecting her third child in April, continued her streak of royal-friendly maternity style for the occasion. Her look included a blue coat by Goat fashion, black tights and black suede Stuart Weitzman pumps.
